The allegation that Chief Presidential Advisor to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Saadet Oruç, used profanity against a citizen in a voice chat room on the X platform has caused a major stir on social media. The user with the handle “Maral_2323,” who brought the incident to public attention, shared the audio recording and announced that they had filed a criminal complaint against Oruç.

THE DISPUTE WAS CAPTURED IN THE AUDIO RECORDING

In the shared audio recording, the person alleged to be Saadet Oruç can be heard engaging in a tense argument with a user. In the initial parts of the recording, Oruç is heard saying, “Shut up,” to which the citizen reacts by responding, “Who are you to tell me to ‘shut up’?”

In the following seconds of the argument, the voice alleged to belong to Oruç is clearly heard using a harsher expression, saying, “F... off.”

CRIMINAL COMPLAINT FILED

The user, who did not remain silent regarding this insult directed at them, stated in a post on their social media account that they have initiated legal proceedings. 

REACTION BY TAGGING ERDOĞAN AND OFFICIALS

The citizen, who shared the audio recording to inform the public about what they experienced, tagged President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, the Presidency, and the Ministry of Interior in their post, using the following expressions:
