Barış Murat Yağcı taken into custody
As part of a drug investigation in Istanbul, Barış Murat Yağcı, one of the suspects for whom an arrest warrant had been issued due to being abroad, was taken into custody at the airport around noon today.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crimes of "manufacturing and trafficking of drugs or stimulants," "facilitating the use of drugs or stimulants," and "purchasing, accepting, or possessing drugs or stimulants for personal use, or using drugs or stimulants," 11 suspects were released yesterday.
Barış Murat Yağcı, for whom an arrest warrant had been issued as part of the investigation because he was abroad, was taken into custody at the airport today around noon upon his return to Turkey.
Yağcı was transferred to the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command for processing.
