Operations targeting CHP-run municipalities continue unabated. Most recently, Mayor Hasan Mutlu was arrested in an operation conducted against the Bayrampaşa Municipality.

This morning, an operation was carried out against the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality by the Financial Crimes Branch of the Police Department as part of an investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

It was reported that 13 people were detained as a result of the operation.

It has been learned that the investigation was launched regarding 32 concerts held between 2021 and 2024.

STATEMENT FROM THE ANKARA CHIEF PUBLIC PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE!

In a statement made by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the following was noted regarding the operation:

"Within the scope of the investigation conducted by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding allegations that expenditures made for concerts organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality between 2021 and 2024 caused public loss;

According to the referral report prepared by the Ministry of Interior's Civil Inspection Board, the MASAK review, the Court of Accounts review, and expert reports, it has been determined that the administration suffered a loss of 154,453,221.60 TL in the procurement of 32 concert services.

Within the scope of the investigation, it was decided to detain the suspects simultaneously starting from 23.09.2025 on charges of Misconduct in Office and Rigging Tenders, and all suspects have been taken into custody. The suspects are: former Head of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Department H. A. B, former Acting Branch Manager of Culture Events / former Acting Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department H. E., former Acting Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department H. Z, former Acting Branch Manager of Culture Events A. A. Ç, Acting Branch Manager of Culture Events C. A, Acting Branch Manager of Culture Events K. B, owner of Evren Teknik Grup Müzik Organizasyon San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. O. E, owner of Universe Production Organizasyon San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. S. E, partners of Festiva ve Enfest Organizasyon Turizm San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. K. A and S. Ç, partner of Gurudan Turizm Danışmanlık Organizasyon Reklam San. Tic. A.Ş A. A, and partners of Yalınayak Gıda Organizasyon Turizm. San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. E. D and L. E.

Procedures for the apprehension of the suspects and their referral to our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office are being continued by the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch."
