MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, speaking at his party's parliamentary group meeting regarding attacks on Saudi Arabia, called for "providing every possible military support for the defense of Saudi Arabia by our country within the scope of the Mecca Alliance." Stating that deterrent force should be used if diplomatic means prove insufficient, Bahçeli also commented on the fund investigation, saying, "Turkey is in a period of purification and clearing in the public sector, politics, and many other areas." Breaking News: Devlet Bahçeli calls for military support for Saudi Arabia, sends clear message on fund investigation

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made evaluations regarding domestic and foreign policy at his party's TBMM Group Meeting.

Making statements on many topics ranging from the second opening process called a Terror-Free Turkey to Israel's attacks in the region, from disputes with Greece to corruption investigations into municipalities, Bahçeli said that Turkey should provide military support in the face of attacks on Saudi Arabia.

While Bahçeli called for providing every possible military support for the defense of Saudi Arabia within the scope of the Mecca Alliance, he also made evaluations regarding the fund investigation and allegations of corruption in municipalities.

While stating that the Terror-Free Turkey process will be continued with determination, Bahçeli reacted to Israel's provocations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Condemning the attacks carried out from Yemen on Saudi Arabia, Bahçeli stated that Turkey must remain committed to its obligations arising from the defense agreement in the face of threats against its ally.

In his evaluations regarding the fund investigation, Bahçeli stated that Turkey is in the process of uncovering illegalities aimed at the abuse of public interests, and argued that the investigations are intended to be used to create social unrest through political and media channels.

Bahçeli's statements are as follows:

"A Terror-Free Turkey is the consciousness of building a new, Turkey-centered civilization that promises a just order to humanity, along with our heart and cultural geography, with the will to live in unity and harmony.

The Terror-Free Turkey and Terror-Free Region initiative, which is being established with the original will of our nation, causes anxiety for those who want to surpass Turkey and establish dominance in the region, while systematic efforts to weaken Turkey, as in every period of our history, are also being put into play.

Just as in the past, our nation was sometimes sought to be divided, our economy destabilized, and our state weakened through economic, political, and social means, or sometimes through methods based on terror and violence, those who want to sabotage the environment of peace and security we have achieved are active again.

I must say in advance, Turkey will not turn back from its path, and the Turkish nation will not turn back from its decision. The steps for a Terror-Free Turkey will continue to be taken with seriousness and sincerity, and will be concluded as soon as possible.

REACTION TO ISRAEL

At the same time, in a period when important developments are taking place on the path to a Terror-Free Region, Israel's aggressions towards the region continue, using the approaching elections as an excuse, and the level of provocation is increasing. The provocations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, our first qibla, show the level that Israeli barbarism has reached.

On the other hand, the hostile attacks on the holy lands are a different element serving the same purpose of destabilizing the region. Even if what is said is different, what they serve is no different.

CALL FOR 'PROVIDING MILITARY SUPPORT' TO SAUDI ARABIA

As the Nationalist Movement Party, we cannot turn a blind eye to attacks on our first qibla, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, our qibla, the Kaaba, or the holy sanctuary of the Prophet. We cannot remain silent. We cannot tolerate it. Even if our holy lands are within the borders of another sovereign state, the expeditions launched by our glorious ancestors to repel the aggressive acts in these places are hidden in the memory records of history.

We cannot remain indifferent in any way to attacks on these lands, which are preserved in the history, culture, faith, belief, and state tradition of the Turkish nation. We do whatever is necessary. If the possibilities of diplomacy are not enough in this direction, deterrent force should be used.

Within the scope of the Mecca Alliance, our country should provide every possible military support for the defense of Saudi Arabia, and the opportunity should be provided to respond with sensitivity and determination to approaches that also violate international law. As is known, the increasing hostile attacks on Saudi Arabia, our friend and ally, have led to heavy civilian casualties.

It is clear that attacking civilians and civilian infrastructure constitutes a major crime in terms of international law and humanitarian law. It is also indisputable that such attacks from Yemen on Saudi Arabia should be condemned in the strongest terms. Indeed, 13 people lost their lives and 309 people were injured in the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 10.

In a new attack on the same airport the next day, one more person lost their life and 11 people were injured. These heinous attacks undoubtedly target the peace and stability of the entire region. The re-escalation of the conflicts that have been going on for many years in Yemen endangers the security of the Red Sea and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, and poses serious risks in terms of international trade, energy supply security, and regional economic stability.

In this difficult period that the Middle East is going through, no action that will deepen hostilities between regional countries, open new conflict fronts, and cost civilian lives can be excused. Regardless of the justification, attacks targeting civilians can never be seen as legitimate.

In the face of threats to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, Turkey will continue its solidarity with this ally, which hosts the sacred places of the Islamic world, by remaining committed to its obligations arising from the defense agreement as Turkey-Mecca.

I would like to remind you that our ancestors have been honored with the title of Servant of the Two Holy Mosques for years. Fahrettin Pasha's legendary defense of Medina is the high will of this consciousness. So much so that the heroic Turkish soldier, who was forged in the hearth of the Prophet, received the title of Mehmetçik in these lands. Thank God. Our faith, belief, and determination towards our holy lands have never diminished in the heart of our nation, in the institutionalism and power of our state, and are alive.

"HOUTHIS MUST END ATTACKS"

Our wish is for the Houthis to end their attacks immediately, for a permanent political solution to be established in Yemen, and for regional disputes to be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. Everyone in the region should act with moderation and not stray from common sense. More Muslim blood should not be shed, and our entire region should be able to live in an environment of peace and security.

A common stance should be taken against those who make sectarian differences a justification for conflict, who pit Muslim societies against each other, who consume the region's resources in wars, who sow seeds of discord, and who rub their hands in Tel Aviv so that a fratricidal war breaks out. The Islamic world must be one and whole, and the fratricidal war must end immediately.

Our desire as a party is a Middle East and Islamic world in peace and tranquility, where regional countries contribute to each other's security, resolve their disputes through negotiation, and build their future with a common will.

"IT WILL BE A SERIOUS MISTAKE FOR ATHENS"

On the other hand, for the Greek administration to think that it will feel stronger and safer by approaching and drawing closer to Israel, and to hope that Israel can protect it when we say stop to the violations of Turkey's rights and interests in maritime jurisdiction areas, will mean that it has learned no lessons from history and the present.

The electricity interconnection project that is sought to be developed between Greece, the Greek Cypriot Administration, and Israel has brought the disputes regarding maritime jurisdiction areas back to the agenda. The United States Secretary of State's announcement of support for the project and Athens' attempt to restart seabed research also reveal the international dimension of the issue.

While Turkey's position that the route requires prior coordination is clear, thinking that Ankara's objections can be overcome by getting the support of third countries will be a serious mistake for Athens. If Greece wants lasting peace and tranquility in our region, it should not forget that the way to achieve this is through establishing friendly relations with its neighbors.

Greece must now understand that as long as it does not recognize Turkey's rights and the sovereignty of the Turkish Cypriot State, it cannot feel safe, no matter who it forms an alliance with, no matter what agreement it signs with whom, and no matter what weapons it buys.

If the Greek government is arming itself to protect against us, we advise them to take refuge in Turkish peace; if they are arming themselves to scare us, we advise them never to forget that no power can scare us.

Our desire and preference is for the Greek-Rum axis to move away from unnecessary provocations and hostilities, and to demonstrate the will to resolve its problems through dialogue and diplomacy. The novice politicians in Athens must now realize that the respect and friendship that Turkey will nurture is stronger than the weapons and ammunition that Israel will sell.

Distinguished deputies, esteemed guests, along with some attacks on our sovereign rights in violation of international law, attempts to destabilize our country, polarize our nation, and lead us to despair on many issues are continuing simultaneously.

FUND INVESTIGATIONS

Along with some attacks on our sovereign rights in violation of international law, attempts to destabilize our country, polarize our nation, and lead us to despair on many issues are continuing simultaneously.

As Turkey grows stronger and consolidates its brotherhood, sedition and discord aimed at sabotaging our peace are also becoming widespread; internal subcontractors are also mobilizing along with Turkey's adversaries.

As state-nation solidarity creates a climate of trust and the common will for a strong Turkey of the future strengthens, attempts at provocation are increasing. Turkey is in a period of purification and clearing in the public sector, politics, and many other areas. It is in a suitable climate where it can resolve its deep-rooted problems.

However, it is also noteworthy that there is a desire to draw the operations carried out and the steps taken by the state to uncover illegalities aimed at the abuse of public interests into a new process of siege and destabilization, and to create social unrest through some political and media channels.

While Turkey is in a phase of rising and meeting in national unity and brotherhood, it must be sensitive and prepared with all its institutions in the face of events that provoke society from within and without.

In a period when corruption and immorality in municipalities are spreading across the country, opportunities should not be given to cover these up in the name of politics or to show them as something other than what they are; to whitewash those who harm public property and reach out for the rights of orphans.”
