The Court of Cassation 3rd Criminal Chamber announced in a decision last night that it would disregard the Constitutional Court's ruling regarding Hatay MP Can Atalay and file a criminal complaint against the Constitutional Court members who ruled in favor of Atalay; following this, the stance of the Constitutional Court was a matter of curiosity.

According to the exclusive report by Müyesser Yıldız from 12punto; following this development, Constitutional Court sources stated that the President, deputy presidents, and members held a meeting to evaluate the situation.

As a result of the evaluation, it was decided not to make a statement for the time being and to wait.

WHO IS MUHSİN ŞENTÜRK?

Muhsin Şentürk, who also serves as the deputy president as the most senior member of the chamber, was born in Ankara in 1968. After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Law, he began his profession as an Ankara judge candidate.

It is known that Court of Cassation 3rd Criminal Chamber President Şentürk is a member of the Association of Unity in the Judiciary (YBD).

The Court of Cassation 3rd Criminal Chamber had previously upheld the 4-year, 11-month, and 20-day prison sentence for former CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Canan Kaftancıoğlu and imposed a political ban on Kaftancıoğlu.
