Breaking News: What will be the CHP's roadmap after the trustee appointment? Statement from Özgür Özel

Following the arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer and the appointment of a trustee in his place, the Republican People's Party (CHP) decided to hold its camp in Istanbul instead of Antalya.

The CHP Party Assembly (PM) met today under the chairmanship of Özgür Özel. During the critical meeting, the steps the CHP will take in the upcoming process were discussed.

"15-DAY ROADMAP TO BE SHARED AFTER THE PM MEETING"

CHP leader Özgür Özel announced that his party's 15-day roadmap will be shared with the public after the PM meeting.

NO RESPONSE TO VISIT REQUEST FOR ÖZER

Stating that there has still been no response to the request to visit Ahmet Özer, Özel said, "I do not find the discussion of lifting the isolation on Öcalan while applying isolation to Özer to be correct."

Regarding mayors who did not attend the rally in Esenyurt, Özel said, "We did not tell any mayor that they must come. We will come to Esenyurt with Mr. Mansur."

WAS A CANDIDATE DISCUSSED AT THE CHP CAMP?

Özel stated that a candidate was not discussed at the CHP's parliamentary camp.

Saying, "Discussing around two names is harmful; it should be left to the process," Özel added, "Mr. Ekrem also does not find candidacy discussions to be correct."

ALL EYES TURNED TO 16:30

Özgür Özel will attend the funeral ceremony of 18th Term SHP İstanbul Deputy Yüksel Çengel at 12:40. He will then return to the PM meeting.

The decisions taken at the Party Assembly are expected to be announced after 16:30.
