Businessman who assaulted enforcement officer and lawyer arrested
In Bursa, a businessman who previously served as president of Bursaspor and an accompanying individual have been arrested for "resisting an officer to prevent the performance of duty" against an enforcement officer and lawyers involved in an enforcement proceeding.
According to allegations, the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the incident where 2 lawyers and 1 enforcement officer were assaulted while going to the home of businessman E.A. for an enforcement proceeding in the Nilüfer district yesterday at approximately 12:30.
Contractor Emin A. and B.C.K., who were detained by police teams on allegations of committing the crimes of "resisting an officer to prevent the performance of duty, intentional injury, threats, and insult" due to their actions against the officer and lawyers on duty for the enforcement proceeding in the Nilüfer district, have completed their procedures at the police station.
The suspects were brought to the courthouse and arrested by the duty magistrate.
In a statement, it was noted that the 2 suspects, who were referred to the duty criminal judgeship of peace by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office with a request for their arrest on charges of "resisting an officer to prevent the performance of duty," were sent to a closed penal institution appropriate to their status following the arrest decision, and that police efforts to apprehend the other suspects, B.Y.B. and I.A., are ongoing.
