CHP Chairman Özgür Özel meets with families of detained youth
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel met with the families of students who were detained during the protests held in Saraçhane following the operation targeting Presidential Candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Özel shared details about the meeting on his social media account and made the following statements:
Today, we met with the “Parent Solidarity Network,” formed by the families of our young people who were arrested for exercising their right to protest against the March 19 coup attempt.

We will stand by our youth until the end. Our students held in prison must be released immediately, their grievances must be addressed, and the exams they missed must be compensated.

Keeping our youth in prison for days on charges that do not even carry a single day of jail time is unlawful and heartless.

I invite all our citizens to support the “Let Our Children Be Released” petition campaign launched on http://change.org so that our children can be free.
