CHP's Bankoğlu: KYK scholarship promotions are going to bureaucrats and their families

In a statement on her social media account, Bankoğlu said, "They couldn't answer my parliamentary question, so I asked them to their faces. They still couldn't answer!"

CHP Bartın Deputy Aysu Bankoğlu announced that they have received reports that, within the scope of promotion agreements made with Ziraat Bank for the repayable scholarships provided to students by the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK), the bank has allocated luxury vehicles to the institution, and that these luxury vehicles are being used not only by bureaucrats but also by third parties such as their spouses, children, and secretaries.

Making statements on her social media account regarding the issue, Bankoğlu asked why the promotion payments were not added to the students' scholarships.

"THERE ARE REPORTS THAT ZİRAAT PROVIDES VEHICLES TO KYK FREE OF CHARGE"

In her post, Bankoğlu said, "I am asking again from here," and included the following statements:

"Ziraat Bank, which increases its profitability and cash flow through students' loans/scholarships, pays a portion of the profit it earns to your Ministry under the name of 'promotion'—as is the case in all institutions—due to the agreements made. There are reports that Ziraat Bank provides vehicles to KYK free of charge in exchange for promotions, and that these vehicles are allocated to third parties other than authorized bureaucrats.

2-) What is the total annual amount of tuition and education loan transactions processed through Ziraat Bank?

3-) What are the terms of the promotion agreements made with Ziraat Bank?

4-) Have vehicles been allocated to your ministry free of charge by the bank in exchange for these promotion agreements?

5-) What is the number of vehicles allocated by the bank? How many of these vehicles are of which make and model?

6-) Who uses these vehicles and for what purpose?

7-) Is the information that these vehicles are allocated to third parties such as your bureaucrats' spouses, children, or even secretaries correct? If it is correct, what is the justification for this practice?

8-) What is the reason why this promotion amount is not reflected in the scholarship amounts received by the students?"
