Communications Director Duran holds phone call with Syrian Information Minister

In the meeting between Communications Director Burhanettin Duran and the Syrian Information Minister, the latest situation in Syria and bilateral relations were discussed.

During the call, Communications Director Duran stated that Turkey's support will continue to increase in every necessary field, primarily in the Syrian government's counter-terrorism efforts and reconstruction efforts, which are being carried out with an inclusive and integrative approach.

Emphasizing the importance of consolidating the principle of one state and one army on the ground and at an institutional level as an indispensable condition for lasting stability, Duran assessed that the struggle in the field of information is as decisive as developments on the ground; he noted that it would be beneficial for the two countries to act in closer coordination against provocations, disinformation, and perception operations.

Communications Director Duran stated that Turkey is ready to strengthen cooperation in this direction.
