DAESH operation in 21 provinces centered in Şanlıurfa: 47 suspects detained

In simultaneous operations conducted as part of an investigation into DAESH across 21 provinces centered in Şanlıurfa, 47 suspects were detained.
In the investigation carried out by the Şanlıurfa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, efforts were initiated to apprehend 48 individuals assessed to have provided financial support to members of the DAESH armed terrorist organization. It was stated that examinations based on MASAK data revealed a transaction volume of 108 million liras linked to the suspects.
Police teams carried out the operations in Şanlıurfa as well as in Istanbul, Ağrı, Van, Kocaeli, İzmir, Bursa, Aksaray, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Mersin, Çanakkale, Osmaniye, Hatay, Konya, Malatya, Kırşehir, Balıkesir, Mardin, Adana, and Ankara.
While 47 suspects were apprehended in raids conducted on a total of 55 addresses, it was reported that efforts to capture 1 person are ongoing.
During searches at the addresses, 97 digital materials, 11 books classified as banned publications, 1900 euros assessed to have been used in organizational activities, 1 rifle, and 50 cartridges were seized.
