Daltonlar crime gang member Aydın extradited to Turkey

Ahmet A., a member of the "Daltonlar armed criminal organisation" for whom a red notice had been issued as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was apprehended in Georgia and brought to Turkey.

MINISTER YERLİKAYA ANNOUNCES EXTRADITIONS

Interior Minister Yerlikaya announced that a total of nine individuals — eight wanted via red notice and one wanted at the national level — had been apprehended abroad and extradited to Turkey.

In a statement posted on his social media account, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the capture of eight individuals wanted via red notice and one wanted at the national level.

He noted that, including those brought from Georgia, Spain, Azerbaijan, and Montenegro, a total of 416 criminals have so far been extradited to Turkey.

Saying "We are right on their heels — they cannot escape us," Yerlikaya also shared details of those apprehended:

A.A., a member of the "Daltonlar" organised crime group wanted internationally via Red Notice on charges of "membership in an organisation established for the purpose of committing crimes and intentional homicide," was apprehended in Georgia;

Y.D., wanted internationally via Red Notice on charges of "robbery and armed robbery by multiple persons," was apprehended in Spain;

A.K., wanted internationally via Red Notice on charges of "armed robbery at a workplace at night and escape of a convict or detainee," was apprehended in Azerbaijan;

D.D., wanted internationally via Red Notice on charges of "intentional homicide, forgery of official documents, and escape of a convict or detainee," was apprehended in Montenegro;

T.Ö., a member of the "Demirözler" organised crime group wanted internationally via Red Notice on charges of "intentional homicide," was apprehended in Georgia;

B.G., wanted internationally via Red Notice on charges of "trafficking or supplying narcotic or stimulant substances," was apprehended in Georgia;

E.K., wanted internationally via Red Notice on charges of "aggravated sexual abuse of a child and deprivation of personal liberty," was apprehended in Georgia;

M.Ö., wanted internationally via Red Notice on charges of "fraud, negligent homicide, causing zoning pollution, and simple assault," was apprehended in Georgia;

S.A.U., wanted at the national level on charges of "fraud by means of information systems, banks, or credit institutions," was apprehended in Georgia and all have been extradited to our country."

DALTONLAR MEMBER ALSO EXTRADITED

The "Daltonlar" member among those named by Minister Yerlikaya had been apprehended in Georgia in 2023.

In a statement from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that suspect Ahmet Aydın — for whom a red notice had been issued within the scope of the investigation into the Daltonlar criminal organisation — was apprehended and detained in Georgia on 24 May 2023.
