Date set for trial that will impact İmamoğlu's candidacy
The hearing for the lawsuit filed by Ekrem İmamoğlu against the process to revoke his diploma will be held on January 15, 2026, at the Istanbul 5th Regional Administrative Court.
The hearing date has been set for the lawsuit filed by CHP presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu against the revocation of his diploma, which was cancelled on March 18 and for which he has been held in Silivri Prison since March 23.
The case, which will be heard at the Istanbul 5th Regional Administrative Court, will take place on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
This case carries even more critical importance than the criminal files in which Ekrem İmamoğlu is being tried. The decision to be issued by the court will directly determine whether İmamoğlu can be a presidential candidate.
