Drug operation across Turkey: 741 kilograms seized
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced the successful results of a comprehensive drug operation conducted across Turkey on his social media account.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that a total of 741 kilograms of drugs were seized in operations carried out simultaneously in 20 provinces. 163 people were taken into custody during the operations.
Furthermore, it was stated that the operation, carried out with the joint efforts of relevant units under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security, the Gendarmerie General Command, and the Intelligence Department, was conducted under the name "Narkogüç-44" (Narco-Force-44).
Emphasizing the success of the operation, Minister Yerlikaya stated, "Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security, the Gendarmerie General Command, and the Intelligence Department; by the Provincial Police Departments' Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branches and Provincial Gendarmerie Commands; 741 kilograms of narcotic substances were seized in the 'Narkogüç-44' operations carried out in 20 provinces. 163 poison dealers and street-level sellers were apprehended."
