Enforcement shock for Demirören: Plots in Silivri to be auctioned

Demirören Holding Board Member Fikret Tayfun Demirören's real estate assets in Silivri have faced enforcement proceedings due to his failure to pay debts.

According to a report by Osman Çaklı from Gazete Duvar; two plots of land measuring 1,174 and 572 square meters located on Halaskargazi Street will be put up for auction by creditors in January 2025. While there are a total of 52 enforcement and precautionary attachment requests against Demirören, 35 of these were initiated within 2024.

FAMILY COMPANIES ALSO UP FOR SALE

The lands put up for sale by the Silivri Enforcement Office also include properties jointly owned by Demirören and his siblings Tülin, Meltem, and Yıldırım Demirören. These plots, which are shared within the family, are planned to be sold via an auction to be held between January 20-30, 2025.

1 MILLION LIRA DEBT FOR BODRUM PROJECT

The management of Astaş Cennet Koyu Holiday Homes, which manages the Mandarin project in Bodrum, is also among the creditors of Demirören.

The management initiated enforcement proceedings because Demirören did not pay his debt of 1 million lira. Making a statement on the matter, Demirören's lawyer Melih Osman Bütüner stated that there is a dispute regarding the debt but that an agreement has been reached between the parties, and the file is expected to be closed shortly.

DEBT BURDEN INCREASING

Enforcement proceedings initiated throughout 2024 are steadily increasing Demirören's total debt burden. It was stated that the amount of debt involved in the enforcement proceedings exceeds 101 million lira. While Enerji Ofisi Akaryakıt Pazarlama ve Dağıtım A.Ş. resorted to enforcement because it could not collect its receivables from Demirören, Patrizio Ragusin from the automotive sector also initiated enforcement proceedings for a receivable of 40 million lira.
