Fatih Altaylı explains why Trump stayed at that hotel: There is a tunnel!

The hotel where US President Donald Trump stayed while visiting Ankara for the NATO Leaders' Summit became one of the most discussed topics of the summit.

While it was stated that Trump stayed at the Ankara Marriott Hotel in Söğütözü, extensive security measures were taken at the hotel. It was reported that the hotel, whose connection to the outside world was largely restricted, was allocated exclusively to the US President and his delegation of approximately one thousand people.

It was also stated that the 190-square-meter presidential suite was equipped with bulletproof glass and its walls were reinforced with materials resistant to bomb attacks.

Journalist Fatih Altaylı included a striking claim about the hotel where Trump stayed in an article he wrote.

Altaylı stated that he stayed at the same hotel during his last visit to Ankara and expressed that the reason for his preference for the hotel was its proximity to the US Embassy.

Using the phrase, "So, shall I give you a secret about this hotel?" in his article, Altaylı then shared his striking claim.

CLAIM THAT "THERE IS A TUNNEL BETWEEN THE HOTEL AND THE EMBASSY"

Altaylı included the statement, "According to information from very reliable sources, there is a tunnel between the Ankara Marriott Hotel and the US Embassy directly across from it."

Claiming that the tunnel in question is known by only a few people, Altaylı alleged that thanks to this passage, one can reach the US Embassy without going outside the hotel.

In his article, Fatih Altaylı expressed his claim that this is also the reason why US President Donald Trump chose the Ankara Marriott Hotel.
