FETÖ operation in Ankara: Detention warrants issued for 24 suspects

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued detention warrants for 24 suspects regarding the so-called 'secret' structure of FETÖ within the Land Forces Command.

According to the statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an investigation was launched by the Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau into the structure referred to as "secret services" of FETÖ within the Land Forces Command.

In the investigation, detention warrants were issued for 24 suspects—including 1 secret imam, 22 soldiers (14 of whom are currently on active duty), and 1 former military student—across 9 provinces centered in Ankara, after it was determined that they communicated with the organization's so-called civilian imams using landline telephones.

It was stated that operations are being carried out by teams from the Ankara Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch to apprehend the suspects.
