First call between Erdoğan and Trump following ceasefire
President Erdoğan and US President Trump held a phone call following the declared ceasefire.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with US President Donald Trump.
During the call, the leaders discussed current developments in our region, primarily the ceasefire declared as of last night in the context of Iran.
Expressing his satisfaction with the ceasefire, the President stated that the two-week window of opportunity that has opened after 40 days, which were quite difficult and troubled for the entire world, must be utilized very well for a permanent peace agreement and that no opportunity should be given for the process to be sabotaged.
President Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey's support for the solution efforts carried out together with friendly and brotherly countries, especially Pakistan, will continue to increase.
