Footage caused outrage: Woman stabbed 16 times for wanting a divorce does not file a complaint

In the incident that took place 6 days ago on Atatürk Street in the Hacıkaplanlar neighborhood of Pamukkale district, Gülderen Ş. (26), who told her husband she wanted a divorce, was subjected to violence in the middle of the street by her husband, Beytullah Ş. (26).

The husband, who struck the woman several times with a knife he pulled from his waist, dragged his wife by her hair for 30 meters before throwing her to the ground and attempting to beat her. While some citizens tried to stop the attacker by throwing empty jars displayed outside by a shopkeeper, the brutal husband made one last move and stabbed Gülderen Ş. in the neck and back area several times more.

After the knife was taken from his hand, the individual, left in the middle of the crowd, was knocked to the ground by the blows he received. The individual, who was saved from being lynched at the last moment, was taken to Denizli State Hospital.

WOMAN WHO RECEIVED 16 STAB WOUNDS DISCHARGED

The woman, who was rescued from the hands of her crazed husband, was taken to Pamukkale University Hospital by ambulance after initial treatment. In the radiological imaging of the unfortunate woman who was taken under treatment, it was determined that she had received 16 stab wounds in various parts of her body. The woman, who did not receive a fatal blow thanks to the intervention of shopkeepers and citizens, was discharged from the hospital 3 days ago.

HUSBAND COULD NOT ESCAPE ARREST

It was alleged that the woman, whose statement was taken again after being discharged, did not file a complaint against her husband, Beytullah Ş. The husband, who was taken to Denizli State Hospital, suffered 36 fractures in his body due to the attempted lynching by the crowd. Beytullah Ş., whose treatment at the hospital was completed yesterday, was taken into custody after being discharged and taken to the police station. After his procedures were completed, Beytullah Ş. was referred to the Denizli Courthouse. Beytullah Ş. was arrested and sent to prison due to the public lawsuit filed against him.
