Forgotten funeral washing procedure in Elazığ performed at the last minute
The body of 74-year-old A.A., who passed away in Elazığ, was removed from the grave at the last minute after it was realized that the funeral washing had been forgotten, and was then washed and reburied.
In Elazığ, a person whose body was realized to have been forgotten to be washed after passing away was removed from the grave at the last minute, washed, and then buried. The incident occurred the day before yesterday. A 74-year-old citizen named A.A., who passed away due to respiratory distress, was brought to Elazığ by air for burial.

After the funeral prayer was held there, A.A.'s lifeless body was taken to the cemetery. As the body was being removed from the coffin and placed into the grave, relatives stated that A.A.'s body had not been washed.
Upon this, A.A.'s body was placed back into the coffin, washed by a mortician at the morgue, and delivered to the family. Following the washing procedure, A.A.'s remains were laid to rest accompanied by prayers.
