Conducted in 81 provinces: Bad news for Erdoğan from the general election and presidential poll
The Yöneylem Social Research Center has published the results of a public opinion survey conducted across 81 provinces. Participants were asked 6 different questions in the study. The survey also asked citizens about their voting preferences in general and presidential elections.
While the CHP's calls for early elections continue, public opinion research companies have also accelerated their polling efforts.
Most recently, the results of a survey conducted by the Yöneylem Social Research Center have emerged. In the survey, which was conducted with 2,400 people in 81 provinces in April, participants were asked 6 questions.
To the question, "Is Turkey being governed well or poorly?", 52.3 percent of the survey participants answered, "It is being governed poorly."
The top two spots remained unchanged for the question, "What is Turkey's most important problem?" In the survey, the economic crisis ranked first with 44.4 percent, while "Injustice" took second place with 25.1 percent.
The survey included the question, "Is the cancellation of Ekrem İmamoğlu's university diploma a correct decision?" Those who said, "No, I do not think it is a correct decision," accounted for 58.5 percent.
To the question, "What do you think about the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu?", 57.7 percent said, "I do not think it is a correct decision."
When asked which party they would support if parliamentary elections were held this Sunday, the CHP emerged as the leading party. The results after the distribution of undecided voters are as follows:
CHP: 36.1 percent
AKP: 32.5 percent
DEM Party: 8.7 percent
MHP: 7.9 percent
İYİ Party: 4.2 percent
Victory Party (Zafer Partisi): 3.8 percent
New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi): 2.8 percent
Workers' Party of Turkey (Türkiye İşçi Partisi): 1.2 percent
Key Party (Anahtar Parti): 1.1 percent
Other: 1.7 percent
To the question, "If the 2nd round of the Presidential election were held next Sunday, would you vote for Recep Tayyip Erdoğan or Ekrem İmamoğlu?", 48 percent of the survey participants answered Ekrem İmamoğlu. Tayyip Erdoğan remained at 39 percent.
