Message on cabinet reshuffle from AKP figure: Signal given for former names

AKP Deputy Chairman Erkan Kandemir made important statements regarding his party's 8th Ordinary Grand Congress and claims of a cabinet reshuffle during a program he attended on CNN Türk.

Touching upon the change process within the party, Kandemir stated that the AKP's understanding of renewal is not limited to just changing names, and used the following expressions:

"What we mean by change is a process in which both our experienced and young friends refresh their teams together, in accordance with the AK Party tradition within the ordinary flow of life. Perhaps names who have served before may be invited to take office again. The goal here is to build a new political language and method."

''CABINET RESHUFFLE IS AT THE PRESIDENT'S DISCRETION''

Avoiding a definitive answer on whether there will be a change in the cabinet, Kandemir emphasized that this process is at the discretion of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and continued his words as follows:

"We currently have a very strong government, ministers who do their jobs well, and a hardworking cabinet. However, our President will determine what kind of team he will form and what steps he will take to realize the Century of Turkey vision."

''FORMER NAMES MAY RETURN TO OFFICE''

Stating that the AKP has accumulated great experience during its 22 years in power, Kandemir also signaled that some names who have served before could return to the field.

Kandemir said, "The greatest strength of the AK Party is that it possesses a qualified staff that has managed critical processes. Those who are tired may rest for a while, but a situation like resentment or stepping aside does not happen in our party. Both those who hand over the duty and those who take it over experience the same enthusiasm."
