News from the pro-government side: Ministers with 'secure seats' in the Cabinet revealed! At least 5-6 names will change

Following the defeat in the March 31 Local Elections, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who gave messages of 'change', had signaled changes in his party and the Cabinet upon his return from his visit to Albania in October.

In his statement, Erdoğan said, "In the new process, just as there may be some changes among the deputy chairmen, we will also make our evaluations regarding the Cabinet as the situation requires. There may be some changes there as well."

In the AKP, which has entered the congress process, it is planned to finish the provincial congresses in the first week of February and hold the grand congress in the last week.

REVISION IN BOTH THE PARTY AND THE CABINET IN FEBRUARY

According to the report by the pro-government Türkiye newspaper, it has been learned that there will be significant changes in the party administration at the AKP's grand congress and that the revision in the Cabinet will be carried out on the same dates.

In the report, it was stated that at least 5-6 ministers in the Cabinet would be replaced according to AKP circles. On the other hand, the ministers whose seats in the Cabinet are secure were listed as follows:

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek,

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan,

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum

Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler

AKP sources expressed the view, "Whoever is replaced among those outside of these names, it would not be a surprise." Furthermore, there are comments that some names from the cabinet could be evaluated at the party headquarters, and that there could be shifts from former mayors to the party administration.

THERE IS ALSO CHANGE IN THE GROUP

It was noted that there will also be a change in the AKP's parliamentary group management when June arrives. New elections will be held within the AKP for one group chairman and five group deputy chairmen. In this direction, it was stated that some group deputy chairmen might be replaced.

At the last meeting of provincial chairmen, Erdoğan stated that there had been complaints from the public regarding the parliamentary group as well as the party headquarters in recent times, giving the message that there would be a change in the group management.

KURTULMUŞ'S CANDIDACY IS SEEN AS CERTAIN

New elections will also be held for the Parliament Speakership in June. For the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) speakership, presidential elections are held twice in one legislative term. The parliament speaker is elected for two years for the first term and for three years for the subsequent term. In this context, the term of office of Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş will expire in June. In AKP circles, it is considered certain that Kurtulmuş will be nominated again.
