Pro-government media's hate continues: Ugly remarks against Lieutenant Ebru Eroğlu, who was dismissed from the TSK
Lieutenant Ebru Eroğlu, who graduated first in her class from the Military Academy but was dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) for chanting the slogan "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal," has become a target of pro-government media. The ugly comments made regarding her latest photograph have drawn backlash.
Lieutenant Ebru Eroğlu graduated first in her class from the Military Academy last year and received her diploma from President Erdoğan.
Following the graduation ceremony, she and her classmates drew their swords, recited the officer's oath, and chanted the slogan "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal." However, after these images spread on social media, Eroğlu and four of her friends were dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces.
Following the dismissal of Lieutenant Eroğlu and her friends, who were left unemployed, intense criticism from pro-government media outlets has continued.
After photos of Eroğlu taken with a friend were shared on social media, media outlets close to the government, such as Yeni Akit newspaper and EnsonHaber, published ugly headlines targeting Eroğlu.
Yeni Akit newspaper, known for its reactionary and pro-government publications, published a photo of Ebru Eroğlu with the headline "All the feelings in your heart are reflected on your face," expressing its criticism.
EnsonHaber, meanwhile, ran a headline stating, "Ms. Ebru, the uniform didn't suit you anyway, it's for the best, you look more open now, girl."
“MAY SHE BE FAR FROM THE TSK, AND CLOSE TO ALLAH”
Zekeriya Say, the news director of Yeni Akit, known for his previous provocative posts, shared Eroğlu's recent photo and added a note saying, "I am not commenting because she was kicked out of the army. May she be far from the TSK, and close to Allah."
