Unbelievable incident in Zonguldak: This time, a human bit a dog!

In the Nebioğlu town of Zonguldak's Çaycuma district, 34-year-old Ömer V. lost control after consuming alcohol during the day. The individual, who approached a puppy he encountered on the street, suddenly attacked the animal by biting it with his teeth. Following the attack, he proceeded to beat the dog by slamming it against the ground.

CITIZENS INTERVENED, TEAMS DISPATCHED

When citizens in the vicinity witnessed the horrifying incident, they immediately intervened and notified 112 Emergency Health services and the gendarmerie. Health personnel who arrived at the scene had difficulty approaching Ömer V., who was displaying aggressive behavior. For this reason, gendarmerie teams were also called.

REFUSED TREATMENT

Ömer V., exhibiting aggressive behavior due to the influence of alcohol, was subdued with difficulty by the gendarmerie. The individual, who was intended to be taken into an ambulance, caused difficulties for the medical teams there as well. Ömer V., who was requested to be taken to the hospital for treatment, subsequently refused the intervention.

The puppy that was attacked was taken under protection by citizens and the teams that arrived at the scene. It was reported that the health condition of the dog, which was subjected to violence, is good. However, it was noted that the dog experienced intense fear and displayed signs of anxiety in its behavior.

INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED

Following the incident, a judicial process was initiated against Ömer V. on charges of both animal cruelty and endangering public safety.
