When will pension difference payments be deposited into accounts? The date has been set

The government, which decided on a 15.75 percent raise for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees, increased the lowest pension to 14,469 liras.

While the low raise given to pensions despite high inflation has drawn reactions, the date when approximately 3 million 700 thousand retirees who received incomplete payments will receive their additional payments has emerged.

One of the first items on the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), which will resume work tomorrow after a one-week break, will be the legislative proposal providing for an increase in the lowest pension.

WHEN WILL THE DIFFERENCE PAYMENTS BE DEPOSITED INTO ACCOUNTS?

Following the regulation's passage in Parliament and its publication in the Official Gazette with President Erdoğan's signature, the Social Security Institution (SGK) will establish a calendar and reflect the retirees' difference payments into their accounts in the first half of February.

With the regulation in question, 1,969 liras will be deposited into the accounts of nearly 1.7 million retirees. Approximately 2 million retirees will receive a difference payment for the portion of their pension that fell short of 14,469 liras this month.
