He had reacted to the operation against İmamoğlu: Hüseyin Kocabıyık, expelled from the AKP, has launched a protest!

Hüseyin Kocabıyık, an AKP member who reacted with harsh words to the detention of presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, had been expelled from the party after being referred to the Disciplinary Board with a request for "permanent expulsion."

Kocabıyık did not remain silent against the injustices that occurred following the arrest of İmamoğlu and made a notable statement via his social media account.

Kocabıyık used the following expressions in his post:

“I have launched a modest protest of my own against the lawlessness in my country: I will not meet in any way with any judges or prosecutors who are my friends, acquaintances, or relatives, whether close or distant. I will not answer their calls, and I will not even accept their greetings.

Because they have turned into salaried soldiers of an unjust system and have accepted this. They see everything, they experience everything, but THEY ARE REMAINING SILENT!”

In his second post, Hüseyin Kocabıyık sent a message to the judges and prosecutors who remained silent in the face of the injustices occurring in the country. Kocabıyık stated the following:

"When the judges and prosecutors who are silent today while there is so much injustice dare to look us in the face tomorrow, their hands will be left hanging in the air. Let them not forget this."

The entirety of Kocabıyık’s post is as follows:

"Ömer Altay Egesel, the Supreme Court prosecutor of the May 27th coup who decided on the execution of Menderes, wanted to buy lemons from a street vendor after he retired; the vendor recognized him and said, 'Go away, I am not selling you any lemons.' The judges and prosecutors who remain silent today will face the same treatment tomorrow. When they reach out their hands, their hands will be left hanging in the air; let them know this.

Unfortunately, not a single honorable judge like Recai Seçkin emerged from among you. You all resemble Egesel and Salim Başol. You could not even be as brave as the conscience of a street vendor."

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

Former AKP İzmir Deputy Hüseyin Kocabıyık had reacted to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan due to the operation launched against İmamoğlu.

In his post, Kocabıyık had used the expressions, "Recep Tayyip Erdoğan… Was this the place you were headed? Did we struggle for these things? Did we drag ourselves through courts for years for this? You actually staged a coup against yourself, and you don't even know it!"
