In Antalya, a fraudster who introduced himself as the 'MIT President' and took 1 million 500 thousand liras from a citizen by claiming, "your name is involved in a terrorist organization, your identity was used in an incident," was caught red-handed while attempting to take an additional 150 thousand dollars.
Under the coordination of the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, in operations conducted by the Public Security Branch Directorate, a suspect was apprehended who had pressured a complainant by introducing himself as the MIT President, successfully obtaining 1 million 500 thousand liras in cash and jewelry, and who later used the same methods and rhetoric to demand that the victim sell their real estate worth approximately 150 thousand dollars and hand the money over to the police who would arrive.
H.A., who arrived to collect the 150 thousand dollars, was caught red-handed. The mobile phone and SIM cards found on H.A. were seized.
H.A., who was referred to judicial authorities on charges of 'Qualified Fraud', was arrested and sent to prison.
