Increase in daily food allowance for seafarers
The daily food allowance to be paid to seafarers on ships where a food service is not established has been increased from 230 liras to 325 liras.
The decision of the Seafarers' Food Allowance Determination Board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security has been published in the Official Gazette.
According to the decision, the Board met at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on February 19.
The Board unanimously decided that the daily cash food allowance to be given to each seafarer, to be applied to all coastal regions and lakes, shall be a net 325 liras.
Previously, seafarers were being paid a net 230 liras as a daily food allowance.
