The independent candidate has a name, but no presence: No one can reach him!

CHP Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Mayoral Candidate Ahmet Akın was continuing his local election campaign when, as a result of an application, a second Ahmet Akın emerged to run in the elections as an independent. The independent candidate, who is reported to have worked as a waiter at a restaurant that has been a landmark in the city for about 60 years, has essentially vanished into thin air since his name was announced.

CLAIMS HE LEFT BOTH HIS JOB AND HOME

Independent candidate Ahmet Akın, whom everyone, especially members of the press, is trying to reach but cannot, maintains his silence. 

Ahmet Akın, who would face questions such as 'Why did you become a candidate?' and 'What kind of result do you expect from the election?', has allegedly not gone to his workplace for about 2 weeks and is not staying at his home with his family.

AKIN'S BOSS TOLD HIM 'DO NOT COME HERE'

Yaşar Özel, the owner of the establishment where waiter Ahmet Akın worked, said that he has been a tradesman for years and that when he heard about the incident, he told Ahmet Akın, 'Do not come here.' 

Özel said, "They did something. Everyone is angry with us, but this matter has nothing to do with us. AK Party supporters are reacting to me, CHP supporters are reacting to me. What is our fault? We have been victimized in this incident. The sweat on my back is not drying. I have been serving here for 60 years."

Özel also added, "The EYT (Retirement Age) law was passed, but he could not retire. He had missing days. That is why he came and started working."

HIS PHONE IS UNREACHABLE

While no one can be found at independent candidate Ahmet Akın's home, his phone is also unreachable. 

It is also known that Akın, despite being a candidate, has not conducted any election activities or citizen visits. In this state, preparing to enter the election without running a campaign, Ahmet Akın has already taken his place in political history.

In Balıkesir, where the election is expected to be a race between two parties, CHP's Akın reacted to the events, saying, "The brave people of Balıkesir will give the necessary response to those who engage in these behaviors that do not befit the city of Kuvayi Milliye."
