Istanbul's dam occupancy rates for January 12, 2024, have been announced

The occupancy rate in Istanbul's dams has shown an increase due to the effect of recent rainfall.

Following insufficient precipitation during the winter season last year, dam occupancy rates are attracting significant public interest. While the water level at the Pabuçdere Dam, which has the lowest water level, was measured at 26.88 percent, the highest water level was recorded at the Elmalı Dam at 86.31 percent. The total occupancy rate in the megacity's dams was determined to be 57.01 percent on Friday, January 12, 2024.

The January 12 occupancy rates for the dams, which are stated to have shown an increase compared to the previous day, are as follows:

Darlık Dam: 70.33%

Elmalı Dam: 86.31%

Terkos Dam: 47.01%

Alibey Dam: 67.66%

Büyükçekmece Dam: 48.95%

Sazlıdere Dam: 39.26%

Istrancalar Dam: 48.27%

Kazandere Dam: 43.76%
