Jewelry store robbers caught thanks to the vigilance of two police brothers
In Küçükçekmece, two armed individuals with their faces covered by surgical masks neutralized the jewelry store owner, B.K., and fled the scene after taking gold worth 250,000 TL. Two days after the robbery, teams from the Küçükçekmece District Police Department's Public Security Bureau, who were collecting security camera footage from the route the robbers used to escape, encountered the two suspects. The robbers, who began to flee upon seeing the police, were taken into custody after a short chase. The two robber brothers, who were referred to court following their interrogation, were arrested and sent to prison. The moments of the robbery were recorded by security cameras.

In an incident that occurred in the İkitelli neighborhood of Küçükçekmece on the afternoon of March 9, Jeweler B.K. was alone in his shop when two masked and armed individuals entered. They pointed their weapons at the jeweler, B.K., and demanded that he fill a bag with gold. As he was filling the bag with 9 bracelets made of 14 and 22-karat gold, worth 250,000 TL, the jeweler, B.K., shouted, 'The police are coming!' Panicked, the two robbers fled the shop on foot, firing shots into the air as they escaped.
Upon the jeweler's report, teams from the Küçükçekmece District Police Department and the Public Security Branch's Robbery Bureau were dispatched to the scene. During the investigation at the scene, 6 empty shell casings were recovered. It was also learned that a parked car was struck by a bullet while the robbers were firing.

MASK REMOVED, IDENTITY DETERMINED
Teams from the Küçükçekmece District Police Department's Public Security Bureau, who were collecting security camera footage along the robbers' escape route, obtained footage of one of the robbers without a mask while fleeing. Continuing their efforts in this direction, the Küçükçekmece Public Security Bureau teams encountered the two robbers on March 11, and a chase ensued. The two robber brothers, identified as Selim B. and Ferhat B., were taken into custody after a short pursuit and brought to the Küçükçekmece Public Security Bureau. During a search of their persons, 5,495 TL in cash and 2 unlicensed pistols were seized, and the two brothers were taken to the Public Security Branch's Robbery Bureau. Following their interrogation, the two robbers were referred to court, arrested, and sent to prison.
