According to a report by Halk TV, the Airbus A319 passenger plane belonging to Turkish Airlines, operating the TK2204 Istanbul-Kahramanmaraş flight, was struck by lightning shortly after takeoff.
The cockpit crew subsequently decided to return to Istanbul Airport.
