Man arrested for murdering his mother who went missing 18 years ago

Aydın Musaoğlu, who was taken into custody as part of an investigation launched after the daughters of Hatice Musaoğlu, who lived in Kastamonu and went missing in 2006, appeared on a television program and stated that they suspected their brother, Aydın Musaoğlu, has completed his processing at the police department.

Aydın Musaoğlu was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the presiding judge on charges of "intentional homicide." The police processing of Aydın Musaoğlu's wife, Nevin Musaoğlu, who was also taken into custody as part of the investigation, is still ongoing.

Hatice Musaoğlu, who lived in the district's Gümürtler village, went missing in 2006. The Azdavay Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation yesterday after her daughters appeared on a television program and stated that they suspected their brother, Aydın Musaoğlu, regarding their mother's disappearance.

As part of the investigation, a search was conducted in the garden of the house where the missing woman lived with her son at the time, using an excavator, and concrete was broken in the ceiling and floor of his garage. Aydın Musaoğlu and his wife had been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
