Measures from IMM ahead of 'New Year's Eve'

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has taken a series of measures to ensure that Istanbul residents spend New Year's Eve comfortably and safely. According to the statement made by the IMM, additional public transport services have been planned for New Year's Eve, and uninterrupted service will be provided in every corner of the city with various services.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES IN PUBLIC TRANSPORT

In order to meet the density on New Year's Eve, IETT will organize a total of 304 additional trips on 25 lines, in addition to the 64 thousand trips it organizes on 832 different lines on December 31. Considering the density, 221 additional trips will also be made on the Metrobus line.

METRO LINES TO OPERATE 24 HOURS

Metro lines will also operate uninterruptedly on New Year's Eve. The M1A Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport, M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman, M4 Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen, and many other metro lines will provide 24-hour service. Tram and funicular lines will continue their services until 02:00 at night.

FREE TRANSPORTATION ON JANUARY 1

Public transport vehicles affiliated with the IMM will be free for 24 hours for personalized Istanbulkart holders on January 1.

INTENSIVE INSPECTIONS BY MUNICIPAL POLICE

Throughout New Year's Eve, municipal police teams will continue their inspections against consumer rights violations, begging, unauthorized advertising and promotional activities, illegal dumping of excavation waste, and unauthorized sales.

City Lines (Şehir Hatları) will serve with additional trips according to passenger density on New Year's Eve.
