Minister Gürlek: Investigation launched into the incident involving teacher Fatma Nur Çelik
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated regarding the murder of teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, "A judicial investigation has been immediately launched into the incident by our Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The process is being conducted in a multifaceted and meticulous manner."
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated that he learned with great sadness of the death of teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, who lost her life as a result of an attack at a high school in Istanbul's Çekmeköy district, and included the following remarks;
"A judicial investigation has been immediately launched into the incident by our Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The process is being conducted in a multifaceted and meticulous manner. Those responsible will be held accountable before the law.
The loss of a precious teacher who was taken from us while performing her duty has deeply saddened her family, as well as the entire education community and our nation. I pray for God's mercy upon our teacher Fatma Nur; I wish patience and condolences to her grieving family, relatives, students, and our Ministry of National Education community.
I also pray to the Almighty for a speedy recovery for the student and teacher who were injured in the attack. I convey my best wishes for a recovery to our education community and our nation."
