Minister Tekin, whose name is mentioned in cabinet reshuffle, speaks: 'Let's call it discretion'

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin conducted inspections in Erzurum, where he was present for the Atatürk University Academic Year Opening ceremony, and subsequently attended the opening.

Tekin answered reporters' questions there and made important statements regarding the cabinet reshuffle. Minister Tekin stated, "The public is talking about me the most regarding the process. I am not saying I don't expect it because I don't like to speak definitively. Let's call it discretion."

MINISTER'S ADVISORS INTERVENED

Minister Tekin held a press conference at the Teachers' House together with AKP Provincial Chairman İbrahim Küçükoğlu and Metropolitan Mayor Mehmet Sekmen. When the question-and-answer session began at the meeting, Minister Tekin's advisors prevented the cameras from recording.

"I HAVE HAD A RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR PRESIDENT SINCE 1989"

Minister Tekin was asked by members of the press whether he would serve again in the cabinet reshuffle. Upon the question, Minister Tekin spoke as follows:

"I am not new to knowing our President. I started politics when I was 13 years old; I have had a relationship with our President since 1989. Our relationship with our President is not related to whether he entrusts me with a position or not. Our relationship has never been broken, even now.

"LET'S CALL IT DISCRETION"

He has not had any negativity or any bad opinion regarding what I have done. The public is talking about me the most regarding the process, but there are two such extreme ends; some say he is a solid man. I am not saying I don't expect it. Because I don't like to speak definitively. Let's call it discretion."
