Ministry announces: Road restrictions for heavy vehicles lifted
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure lifted the road restrictions applied to heavy vehicles as of 1:00 PM. Access to certain highways for vehicles such as trucks, tractor units, and tankers has been restored.
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure issued a statement regarding the road restrictions for heavy vehicles, announcing that the restrictions have been lifted. As of 1:00 PM, access to the D-100 and D-750 state roads, as well as the TEM and Northern Marmara Motorways, has been restored for trucks, tractor units, and tankers.
The written statement from the Ministry included the following:
'The restrictions on the D-100 and D-750 state roads, as well as the TEM and Northern Marmara Motorways, covering the provinces of Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Düzce, Bolu, and Ankara, which were in effect as of 1:00 PM on Friday, February 21, have been lifted as of 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 23. There are no disruptions to traffic on the Istanbul-Ankara route. Our highway teams continue to work 24/7 to ensure the safe travel of citizens.'
