MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE ANNOUNCES SAD NEWS
The statement made by the Ministry of National Defense is as follows:
"On January 11, 2024, within the scope of the Denizkurdu Exercise, Mine Warfare Diver Petty Officer Senior Sergeant Bahadır Canbulat, serving on the TCG Edremit while conducting mine clearance training, fell ill during diving training and received initial intervention from the diving doctor on board. Subsequently, the personnel was immediately rushed to the hospital. However, despite all interventions at the hospital, he could not be saved and was martyred."
