Nagehan Alçı leaves the program where she was a commentator on TGRT: Lawyer argument was the final straw

The argument between journalists Nagehan Alçı and Fuat Uğur on the "Medya Kritik" program broadcast on TGRT became a topic of discussion during the live broadcast.

As tensions rose during the program, a verbal altercation occurred between the parties.

Following the argument, Nagehan Alçı made a statement announcing that she had left her position at TGRT Haber.

In a post on her social media account, Alçı stated that she decided to leave due to the intense pace.

"I must confess… Morning and evening, four days a week, this pace wore me out. For this reason, I had to leave the program on TGRT Haber in a friendly manner, by shaking hands," said Alçı, who thanked her teammates and bid farewell to the program.

THE ARGUMENT BETWEEN UĞUR AND ALÇI

During the episode of the Medya Kritik program broadcast on TGRT, Nagehan Alçı and Fuat Uğur began to argue while discussing Gürsel Tekin and the CHP. Nagehan Alçı reacted to Fuat Uğur by saying, "If you are going to be Gürsel Tekin's lawyer, go ahead and change the subject." Uğur responded by saying, "If you are going to be the lawyer for İmamoğlu and Özgür Özel, go ahead and defend them."

The argument that took place during the moments when tensions rose on the live broadcast unfolded as follows:

Nagehan Alçı: They say if you want to be Gürsel Tekin's volunteer lawyer, go ahead. And I say this...

Fuat Uğur: But I can also say that if you want to be the volunteer lawyer for İmamoğlu and Özgür Özel, you can defend them.

Nagehan Alçı: Am I acting as the lawyer for Özgür Özel and İmamoğlu right now?

Fuat Uğur: Am I acting as the lawyer for Gürsel Tekin?

Nagehan Alçı: I honestly don't know. Every time, you [say] Gürsel Tekin's...

Fuat Uğur: I honestly don't know either. It seems like you are acting as the lawyer for Özgür Özel and İmamoğlu.

Nagehan Alçı: You are playing word games!

Fuat Uğur: You are the one playing word games, Nagehan.

Nagehan Alçı: I don't want to fight with you, dear Fuat Uğur.

Fuat Uğur: I don't want to fight with you either, but you are slandering me.

Nagehan Alçı: I'm not slandering or anything.

Fuat Uğur: You are talking about me acting as Gürsel Tekin's lawyer, Nagehan! And when I say to you, do you want to act as the lawyer for İmamoğlu and Özgür Özel...

Fuat Uğur: You say 'Are you acting as Gürsel Tekin's lawyer?' to prevent me from asking these questions. Nagehan, you are accusing me. I am asking you questions as a moderator.

Nagehan Alçı: I am not accusing anyone.

Fuat Uğur: But you accused me a moment ago.
