NATO statement from the Ministry of Interior: We will be on duty

Minister of Interior Çiftçi stated, "We have addressed all topics with the same sensitivity, from airports to summit venues, from accommodation points to transit routes, and from cybersecurity to potential risks of social unrest."

Emphasizing that it is a historic success for Turkey to bring heads of state and government together around the same table and to host one of the most important meetings of international diplomacy in such a challenging global environment, Çiftçi noted the following in his post:

"This success is a result of the strong leadership of our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, his determined will that prioritizes peace and diplomacy, the reputation Turkey has gained in the international arena, and the high institutional capacity of our state.

Our duty is to provide the strongest contribution to this great success in terms of security.

We have addressed all topics with the same sensitivity, from airports to summit venues, from accommodation points to transit routes, and from cybersecurity to potential risks of social unrest.

In full coordination with all relevant institutions, primarily our Police and Gendarmerie, we will be on duty to ensure a security order befitting Turkey."
