Nepotism controversy at TFF: Hacıosmanoğlu says 'only one person,' Fatih Altaylı shares the list! 'He even brought in his wife's gynecologist...'

Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu has made statements regarding the allegations that he has "appointed his relatives and close circle to positions at the TFF."

Speaking to Sözcü columnist Erman Toroğlu, Hacıosmanoğlu defended himself by stating that the allegations were untrue and that the only relative he had appointed to a position in the federation was his nephew, Abdullah Ayaz. Hacıosmanoğlu stated that he had not appointed any other relatives or acquaintances to any roles, and that the criticisms did not reflect the truth.

Hacıosmanoğlu said, "My teacher, they are doing me an injustice on this matter as well. I only hired one person. That is Abdullah Ayaz. That boy is a very useful man. If he worked outside, I am sure they would pay him much more than what I give him," he stated.

Journalist Fatih Altaylı responded to Hacıosmanoğlu's statements in his column. Altaylı argued that the TFF President's statement that he had only appointed one relative did not reflect the truth.

In his article, Altaylı claimed that several individuals from Hacıosmanoğlu's close circle and people he had worked with in the past hold various positions within the federation, noting that these individuals were on a list he had previously disclosed to the public. Altaylı also alleged that the list in question had never been denied, and that a board member suspected of leaking the list to him had been removed from their position.

"Football Federation President Hacıosmanoğlu called Erman Toroğlu. He responded to the allegations against him. He denied the claims that he had turned the federation into a private farm and filled it with his relatives, saying, 'I only hired one person.' Let me tell you.

Look, almost 2 years ago, in October 2024, I provided the full, ordered list of the relatives Hacıosmanoğlu filled the federation with, and the relatives they in turn filled it with:

Hacıosmanoğlu's personal lawyer, Fuat Göktaş, is vice president.

His wife's doctor, Zehra Neşe Kavak, is vice president.

His sister's son, Abdullah Ayaz, is the general secretary at the federation. There is more. The federation general secretary and his nephew, Abdullah Ayaz, was previously a deputy mayor at the Üsküdar Municipality.

Another former Üsküdar Deputy Mayor, Abdurrahman Alp Beyaz, is now a member of the TFF Arbitration Board.

Another former Üsküdar Deputy Mayor, Vefa Yunus Taylan, is now a member of the TFF Audit Committee. And another former Üsküdar Deputy Mayor, Cihan Eroğlu, is the TFF Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Director and a member of the Audit Committee.

Finally, Hakkı Yıldırım, a former employee of the Üsküdar Municipality Operations Directorate, is the TFF Purchasing Director.

Was this list denied! No, of course not.

But they removed the federation board member they thought leaked this list to me from the board. But nepotism continues. And, of course, the lies as well. So, Erman, my teacher, you should understand that this man is not telling you the truth. Just so you know."
