One person killed in armed clash in Esenyurt

In a park located in the Fatih neighborhood of Istanbul's Esenyurt district, two groups known to have a prior feud encountered each other. According to allegations, Aziz Devrim Akpehlivan (30) was sitting in the park with his friends when Ayaz M. and his associates approached them. The argument that ensued escalated quickly, increasing tensions between the parties.

As they were preparing to leave the park, Ayaz M. drew a weapon and fired at Akpehlivan and his friends. After the attack, the other side returned fire, turning the park into a brief scene of a shootout. Following reports from citizens in the area, police and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.

As a result of the clash, Aziz Devrim Akpehlivan, his friend V.T., and the initial attacker Ayaz M. were wounded. Despite the intervention of medical teams, Akpehlivan lost his life at the scene. The injured V.T. and Ayaz M. were transported to hospitals by ambulance for treatment.

Following the incident, police teams arrived at the area, cordoned off the park with security tape, and launched an investigation. Evidence collection and examinations continued for a long time in the area where Akpehlivan lost his life. While the body of the deceased young man was taken to the morgue, a comprehensive investigation into the incident has been initiated.
