Opening summit at the Palace: Erdoğan to meet with DEM Party Imralı delegation

In the new opening process—which MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli architected and the government has named 'Terror-Free Turkey'—the terrorist organization PKK, which had previously announced its dissolution, has now declared its withdrawal from Turkey.

Following the terrorist organization's decision to withdraw, a critical meeting will take place at the Palace tomorrow.

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğanwill receive the DEM Party Imralı delegation.

The latest developments regarding the opening process will be discussed during the meeting at the Palace.

It is expected that the legal steps to be taken following the terrorist organization PKK's decision to withdraw from Turkey and lay down its arms will also be addressed.

Upon his return from his Gulf tour, Erdoğan had drawn attention to the protests in Diyarbakır and stated, 'We will discuss this issue as well.'

THIRD MEETING

This meeting will mark the third contact between President Erdoğan and the DEM Party delegation. The delegation was previously received by the President at Beştepe on April 10 and July 7.

COMMISSION TO CONVENE FOR THE 16TH TIME

On the same day, the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission will also hold its 16th meeting. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç will deliver presentations at the meeting.

Minister Fidan is expected to share the latest information regarding the field reflections of the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process. It is anticipated that the current status of the integration process of the SDF into the central administration in Syria will also be on the agenda.

LEGAL REGULATIONS ON THE AGENDA

It was reported that Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç will provide information regarding the legal regulations planned following the PKK's laying down of arms.

In a post on his social media account prior to the meeting, Tunç stated, 'We will evaluate the steps that need to be taken to strengthen social integration.'
