The Kuyu-26 operation was carried out in Istanbul against an organized crime group led by Abdurrahman Ay, who is a fugitive abroad.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 6 of the 8 suspects apprehended as a result of the operation have been arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on the remaining 2.

Unlicensed pistols and a large number of cartridges were seized during the operation.
