Passenger bus collides with semi-truck: 2 dead, 30 injured, 4 critically
A collision between a passenger bus and a semi-truck on the Van-Bitlis highway has left 2 people dead and 30 injured, 4 of whom are in critical condition. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
In the morning hours, a passenger bus belonging to the Van Gölü company and a semi-truck collided for unknown reasons inside the Kuskunkuran Tunnel on the Van-Bitlis highway; the names of the drivers and the license plates of the vehicles have not yet been determined.
Upon notification, numerous ambulances, AFAD, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.
The bus driver and one passenger lost their lives in the accident, while 30 people, 4 of whom are in critical condition, were injured.
While the injured were transported to hospitals by ambulance, it was stated that an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
