Pegasus plane makes emergency landing in the UK

A Pegasus Airlines aircraft operating the Istanbul-Manchester flight experienced a technical issue while in UK airspace. The plane declared an emergency and made a safe landing at Manchester Airport. Smoke was observed rising from the aircraft during the landing, and fire crews were on standby on the runway as a precautionary measure.

MECHANICAL FAILURE IN LANDING GEAR DOORS

Officials stated that a problem occurred in the hydraulic system because the landing gear doors remained open. It was observed that the landing gear doors of the Airbus A320 type aircraft did not close during the landing, and one thrust reverser failed to operate. Aviation experts indicated that such a malfunction could be caused by issues within the hydraulic system.

Manchester Airport authorities announced that the aircraft had reported a technical issue and that all safety procedures were fully implemented. It was reported that no one was injured in the incident and the aircraft has been taken in for maintenance.
