Police officer shoots colleague in the leg

In Istanbul's Ataşehir district, an argument broke out between two police officers at a police station on the morning of November 3, 2024, at approximately 08:15. The argument intensified and quickly turned into an armed altercation.
ARGUMENT STARTED OVER BEING LATE
According to a report by Ekol TV, police officer A.A. and another police officer, R.O.A., began arguing over the issue of being late for their duty shift. As the argument turned into a scuffle, other police officers in the vicinity attempted to calm the parties down.
SHOT IN THE LEFT LEG
As A.A. was leaving the scene, R.O.A. drew his weapon and fired at A.A.'s left leg. The wounded police officer, A.A., was immediately rushed to Fatih Sultan Mehmet Hospital with the help of his colleagues. Medical teams reported that A.A. is not in life-threatening condition. Following the incident, R.O.A. fled the area in his Ford Focus vehicle.
