The pose of Hüseyin Çinkaya, a vice principal at Ankara Atatürk High School in the Çankaya district of Ankara, holding a rifle inside the school building has caused an uproar on social media. Following the rapid spread of the image, reactions from the public and the education community have intensified.

NATIONAL EDUCATION TAKES ACTION

Following the backlash, the Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education issued a written statement announcing that an official investigation has been launched into Hüseyin Çinkaya. The statement included the following remarks:

“Regarding the issues raised in the post titled ‘What is a teacher doing like this at school?’ published on the X account @boykotyapannuri, an investigation has been launched by our Directorate into Ankara Atatürk High School vice principal Hüseyin Çinkaya, and the results will be shared with the public at a later date.”
