Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı made statements on his social media account regarding a food scandal uncovered during an inspection in Konya. Yumaklı announced that approximately 50 tons of processed cheese produced under non-compliant conditions were detected at a facility in Konya and that these products were immediately destroyed.

PRODUCTION LICENSE REVOKED, CRIMINAL COMPLAINT FILED

Minister Yumaklı stated that the production license of the company engaged in non-compliant production has been revoked and that a criminal complaint has been filed with the prosecutor's office against those responsible. Emphasizing that they attach great importance to food safety, Yumaklı said that every product that reaches the tables of citizens is a trust for them.

Pointing out in his post that inspections are continuing without interruption, Minister Yumaklı included the following remarks: "We never compromise on food safety. Our inspections will continue unabated. We will continue to work meticulously at all times for the health of our citizens."
